Germann Auction House, founded in 1972, has achieved an international, highly appreciated reputation among collectors and connoisseurs from all over the world. Modern and Contemporary Art paintings, watercolors, drawings, sculptures, international prints and multiples, photographs as well as posters are our most important business segments in which we have achieved continuing success.
At least two auctions are conducted annually in our premises. Significant works of art of important artists have been auctioned through us and found proud new owners, enhanced collections and institutions.

Our strength lies in the experience over the last decades with close relationship to important art collectors and connoisseurs, museums, art dealers and experts - national and international. Everybody is invited to sell art or buy art and to participate in our auctions. Depending on our clients' request and ideas our experts appraise the works, if necessary in consultation with international art experts specialized in the objects in question. We value and describe the objects in accordance with the international market standards. The emphasis is on appraisal and clarification of authenticity, clarification of provenance and market analysis for significant art of objects. We are happy to accept entire collections, significant collection groups or individual works of art for sale by auction. A science based, methodological approach to the arts is of particular importance to us. And so is absolute confidentiality. We are pleased accepting your consignments anytime.
Richly illustrated and research based, carefully investigated catalogs are printed in large numbers and distributed to customers all over the world. You are most welcome to order your own copy! All auction lots are also posted on the internet approximately 4 weeks prior to the auctions, together with the full content of text accessible to a broad clientele around the globe.
With our commitment to the arts and the art market, we enjoy continuous highlights during the efficiently organized auctions. Before the auctions, all objects are exhibited at our premises for inspection during five days. These exhibitions are free and open to the public.
